Day by Day Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival Bangkok

Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to the hotel.
The rest time will be free in the city.
Day 02 Bangkok (B+L+D)

After breakfast, sightseeing begins at the Royal Palace complex, a fairyland of gilded pavilions and elegant temples guarded by golden statues. In Wat Phra Keo, you see the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most sacred icon. Thailand is known for its precious and semi-precious stones. Visit a jewelry factory before returning to the hotel. The afternoon is free at leisure. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional Thai dance performance. MEALS: American Breakfast, Dinner Show.
Day 03 Bangkok (B+L+D)

Free day – you might consider taking one of our optional tours. Perhaps visit the floating market at Damnoen Saduak where you see the colorful sampans piled high with fruits and flowers. For information on optional tours in Bangkok, click here. Then continue to Kanchanaburi with lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch visit the world-famous bridge on the River Kwai and the memorial dedicated to the 9,000 Allied soldiers who died building the bridge and railway.
Day 04 Bangkok- Chiang Mai (B+L+D)

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Chiang Rai. You are met on arrival and escorted to the Dusit Island Resort with its lovely pool and riverside location. The balance of the day is free. MEALS: American Breakfast Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 05 Chiang Mai (B+L+D)

Visit Elephant camp and enjoy Elephant show, and then orchid garden and butterfly farm ( Optional for elephant riding , snake farm and monkey school ).In the afternoon visit Doi Suthep temple. In the evening stroll in the famous night market in Chiang Mai.

Day 06 Chiang Mai- Chiang Rai (B+L+D)

Bus to Chiang Rai. On the way visit Home Industries to see how to make umbrella, silverware, lacquer-ware, wood carving, silk and cotton and jewelry factory. In the evening have dinner In Khantoke dining-hall with Thai dancing and hill tribe shows. In the evening stroll in the night market
Overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 07 Chiang Rai- Chiang Saen (Golden Triangle) (B+L+D)

Bus to Chiang Saen ( Golden Triangle ). Visit Wat Pa Sak , about one kilometer to the west of Chiang Saen in Tambon Wiang, was built by King Saen Phu in 1295 and three hundred teak trees were planted, hence the name Pa Sak (Teak Woods). It was then the residence of the patriarch. The temple' s chedi is of the beautiful Chiang Saen architectural style and the exteriors are elaborately decorated with designs. The chedi itself measures 12.5 meters tall with a base of 8 meters wide.

Day 08 Chiang Saen ( Golden Triangle ) (B+L+D)

In the morning visit the best Opium Hall at the Golden Triangle Park., which is sponsored by the Empress Dowager? An Invitation to the Mysterious World of Opium From darkness to light, the 5,600 square-meter Hall of Opium presents the history of opium from its natural properties to its use as long ago as 5,000 years. It traces opium' s global journey through trade routes in the age of imperialism, culminating in the Opium Wars-an event that disgraced both winners and losers, leading to the fall of the Manchu Dynasty through to the Siamese wisdom in confronting the West and the eventual control of opium problems.
Visit Golden Triangle Archway, etc. Have buffer lunch in Imperial Golden Triangle Resort with the view of Mekong.
Day 09 Chiang Saen (Golden Triangle)-Jinghong (B+L+D)

In the morning (0500 Thai time/0600 Chinese time) get on board of Chinese speed boat Tianda at Chiang Saen Port.
In the afternoon arrive in Jinghong and transfer to the hotel.
Day 10 Jinghong -Ganlaba(Oliver Sandbar)-Jinghong (B+ L+ D)

In the morning leave for Galanba, visit local morning market, Water Dai people village, rubber garden and Burmese temple. Lunch at the Red House Restaurant. Afternoon visit Botanic Garden.

Day 11 Jinghong-Dali (B+ L+ D)

Drive to visit Wild Elephant Valley Natural Reserve Area, take single way cable car to enjoy the raining forest. On the way back visit Dry Dai people village and Jinuo people village. In the afternoon take flight from Jinghong to Dali. Meet the local guide and transfer to the hotel. we will have dinner in the Dali Old Town and walk around the town at night.
Overnight in Dali.
Day 12 Dali (B+L)
Sightseeing: the Erhai Lake Cruise, Xizhou Town ,Zhoucheng Village and Bai Dyed Cloth Work Shop.
Special Experience: Taste the Bai Three Course Tea and enjoy Bai Tea Art with ethnic dance and music.

In the morning, We'll travel in the Erhai Lake by boat and visit Jinsuo Island. After landing, we will head for Xizhou Town to fully appreciate Bai-style architecture, taste their fragrant three-course tea and explore their distinctive culture.
At last, you will visit Zhoucheng Town,and Bai people's Died Cloth Work Shop.At night relax in Dali Old Town.
--Erhai Lake is located in the Dali Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. Since it has a shape of an ear, it gets the name Erhai (Ear Lake). It stretches 42 kilometers from north to south and 3.9 kilometers from east to west. The lake covers an area of more than 250 square kilometers and is 21.5 meters at the deepest. It is ranked the second place in Yunnan Province and the seventh freshwater lake in the nation by area and water storage.
Day 13 Dali – Lijiang by private car. (B+L)

After breakfast you will visit the Three Pagodas and Chongsheng Monastery about 3 Km away from Dali Old Town. Then drive about 180KM to Lijiang. After arrival Lijiang, visit Lijiang Old Town, the Black Dragon Pool and Dongba Museum.
Afternoon, explore Lijiang Old Town by yourself.
Lijiang Old Town has a history more than 800 years; it was listed as the World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO 1997.Here you will see the wonderful wooden architecture of Naxi ethnic people.
--Black Dragon Pool (also Heilongtan) is the main headwater of the Yushui River which goes through the Old Town. It is just like the bright eyes of the town, shining with the wisdom. People believe that the gods of the Naxi people are living in the chestnut woods, beside the mouth of springs, behind the carved doors and below the bridges. The springs come from the god-protected mountains and gather in this place and finally form the dragon pool. Then water goes down a waterfall and becomes the Yuhe River, pouring life to the Old Town.
Day 14 Lijiang-Jade Dragon Snow Mountain-Lijiang (B)
Sightseeing: Yulong Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow, White Water River Terrace,Baisha Village.
Special Experience: Enjoy Naxi Orchestral and Show in Dongba Palace at night

We'll visit Ganhaizi Meadow, Baishui River; visit the Yak Meadow in the Yulong Snow Mountain by chairlift. Access to the top of the mountain is provided by a cableway from the foot of the mountain to the Yak Meadow.
In the afternoon, we'll stroll through Baisha Village, which is an enchanting traditional Yunnan village, We'll head for the scenic Black Dragon Pool and the Dongba Museum to explore the rich Naxi minority culture. After dinner, we will attend the Naxi Orchestral and Show in Dongba Palace.
--Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Mountain) is the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. Consisting of 13 peaks, among which Shanzidou is the highest one with an altitude of 5,600 meters (18,360 feet), Jade Dragon Snow Mountain stretches a length of 35 kilometers (22 miles) and a width of 20 kilometers (13 miles). Looking from Lijiang Old Town in the south which is 15 kilometers (nine miles) away, the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds, hence, the name Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Day 15 Lijiang (B)

The whole day free in Lijiang Old Town, and explore the Naxi ethnic life by yourself.
(Optional Tour) Shuhe Old Town is a charming town to visit for every clients, because there is a traditional Naxi village where we can enjoy the drinking and food at the bank of the river in the farmland. You can rent a bike in Lijiang Old Town and ride to Shu about 5KM away from the Lijiang Old Town.
In the afternoon, you can visit the Wangu Pagoda on the top of the Lion Hill behind Lijiang Old Town, here you will have a wonderful panoramic view of Lijiang Old Town. We will walk down from the Lion Hill to Mu Emperor’s Palace which is the local chieftain’s former residence.
Day 16 Lijiang-Tiger Leaping Gorge-Shangri La (B+ L+ D)
Sightseeing: the First Bend of the Yangtze River,ShiguTown, Tiger Leaping Gorge.

From Lijiang, we'll drive about 60KM to the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery, and the Iron Chain Bridge in the Stone Drum town. The town of Stone Drum got its name from a large, cylindrical, marble tablet shaped like a drum.The scenery is magnificent as the road running through the Lijiang valley which is filled with wheat fields and drying haystacks.
Continue the driving 40KM more to visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. With 34 rapids of the Yangtze River, it is called the Jinsha in this area because we can find gold in the river. Afternoon, we'll head for Shangri La,the former Zhongdian. Upon arrival in Shangri La, we will have entered the Tibetan cultural area and a landscape of barley fields and yaks scattered in the valleys.
Day 17 Shangri La (B+ L+ D)
Sightseeing: the Ganden Sumtseling Monastery, the Bita Lake & Shudu Lake, Jiantang Old Town
Special Experience: Tibetan home made and have dinner in Tibetan family

In the morning, we'll visit the Ganden Sumtseling Monastery, the largest Tibetan monastery in Yunnan. And afterwards we'll go and visit the tranquil Bita Lake & Shudu Lake. After having finished touring the Bita Lake & Shudu Lake, we'll visit the Old Town of Shangri La and the Guishan Park. At night we will visit a Tibetan family and taste the butter oil tea and Tibetan food.
--Being the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, Songzanlin Monastery, also known as Guihua Monastery, is one of the famous monasteries in the Kang region. The monastery is located near Shangri -La County, at the foot of Foping Mountain.
Construction of the monastery began in 1679 and was completed two years later. The monastery seems like a group of ancient castles and is composed of two lamaseries, Zhacang and Jikang. The gilded copper roof endows the monastery with strong Tibetan features and the 108 (an auspicious number in Buddhism) columns downstairs also feature the monastery with characteristics of Han nationality. The main halls in the monastery are magnificent, and on both the left and the right sides are wonderful frescos, depicting Buddhist tales and legends. The inside-halls are exquisite with cloisters running through. The cloisters are all decorated with beautiful sculptures and consummate frescos.
Day 18 Shangri La-Kunming-Stone Forest-Kunming (B+ L+ D)
Sightseeing: the Stone Forest ,Kunming City Tour, the Green Lake, the Golden Horse and Phoenix Archway.
Special Experience: Taste the typical Yunnan food which is named Bridge crossing Noodles.

Take the flight to Kunming,the capital of Yunnan province.
We will drive 80 km to the Stone Forest. There is a local saying: 'It is a waste of time not to visit the Stone Forest while visiting Kunming', which vividly expresses the deep love of the local people toward this world wonder. The quintessential karst landscape makes every tourist lost in wonder.
After lunch drive back Kunmning to visit the landmark of Kunming-the Golden Horse and Phoenix Archway, which is located at the corner of Sanshi Road and Jinbi Road. And then, we will take a leisurely stroll along the Green Lake, a charming area of teahouses and small boutiques selling handicrafts and beautiful local paintings.
Day 19 Kunming by air-Departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Kunming International Airport for returning.
